Advanced aesthetics & skin treatments in Brentwood, Essex
AlumierMD professional chemical peels are personalised skin treatments designed to improve the appearance of concerns such as dullness, congestion, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, blemish-prone skin and visible signs of ageing.
At Derma Aesthetics Clinic in Brentwood, we assess your skin and select the most appropriate AlumierMD peel for your individual skin type, concerns and treatment goals. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, treatments can be adjusted as your skin changes and progresses.

Chemical peels use carefully selected exfoliating ingredients, including alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), to remove accumulated surface skin cells and encourage skin renewal.
Depending on the peel selected, treatment can help improve the appearance of uneven texture, congestion, enlarged-looking pores, pigmentation, blemishes, fine lines and dull or tired-looking skin.
AlumierMD treatments are designed to form part of a personalised skin programme and can be combined with appropriate professional homecare to support results between clinic appointments.
The most suitable peel depends on your skin type, sensitivity and the concerns you would like to address. Your skin will be assessed before treatment so that the strength and type of peel can be selected appropriately.

If acne or acne scarring is your main concern, you can also read about our acne and acne scarring treatments. For pigmentation concerns, see our guide to hyperpigmentation, melasma and rosacea.
The images below show examples of skin concerns treated using AlumierMD professional treatments. Individual results vary and the treatment programme recommended will depend on your skin.

Your appointment begins with an assessment of your skin and a discussion about your current skincare routine and treatment goals. The skin is prepared before the selected peel is applied in a controlled way.
The exact treatment and number of layers used will depend on the peel selected and how your skin responds. Appropriate finishing products and sun protection are then applied.
A single peel can leave the skin feeling fresher and smoother, although a course of treatments may be recommended when addressing longer-term concerns such as pigmentation, congestion, uneven texture or visible ageing.
Your treatment frequency will be personalised rather than automatically prescribing the same course for everyone.
Downtime varies according to the peel used and the individual response of your skin. Some people experience mild redness, dryness, sensitivity or light flaking after treatment.
You will be given appropriate aftercare advice and should protect the skin carefully from sun exposure following a peel.
Certain active skincare ingredients may need to be stopped before treatment. This can include retinoids and exfoliating acids such as AHAs and BHAs. We will advise you on what to pause and when to restart it as part of your treatment plan.
Chemical peels are generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and we will assess your medical history, medication and skin condition before recommending treatment.
We offer individual AlumierMD treatments as well as treatment courses. Visit our treatment pricing page for our current AlumierMD peel and facial prices.
