Advanced aesthetics & skin treatments in Brentwood, Essex
Skin boosters have become increasingly popular for people who want fresher, better hydrated and healthier-looking skin without dramatically changing their facial features.
At Derma Aesthetics Clinic we offer several injectable skin-quality treatments, including Profhilo, Seventy Hyal and TKN HA 3. Although they share some similarities, they are not interchangeable.
Different formulations and treatment protocols allow us to approach concerns such as dehydration, fine lines, reduced elasticity and general skin quality in different ways.
Your age alone does not determine which product you need. Skin condition, treatment area, previous procedures and what you want to achieve are more useful considerations.

Profhilo sits slightly apart from conventional skin boosters. It uses hyaluronic acid but is intended to spread through the tissue and support hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality.
It may be discussed for areas such as the face and neck where hydration and skin quality are concerns. It does not replace a surgical lift or address every cause of facial volume change.
Seventy Hyal is a hyaluronic acid skin booster used for hydration and rejuvenation. It can also be considered for areas that often show age-related dehydration, including the neck, décolletage and hands.
TKN HA 3 is another hyaluronic acid-based injectable designed to improve hydration and skin quality.
The treatment area and technique should be selected after assessment; a product suitable for one area should not be assumed suitable for every part of the face or body.
You do not need to decide before your appointment. In fact, it is usually better not to.
Someone with dehydrated skin may require a different approach from somebody whose principal concern is loss of elasticity or fine creasing around the neck.
During consultation we can assess:
Their intended roles usually differ. Although both may contain hyaluronic acid, skin-quality injectables are generally selected for hydration or texture rather than deliberate shaping or volume. Products and classifications vary, so ask about the exact formulation and intended treatment area rather than relying on the term skin booster alone.
If dryness or fine surface creasing is your priority, ask what a hydration-focused treatment could realistically change. If there is pronounced laxity, deeper facial hollowing, active acne or unexplained irritation, assessment may lead to a different approach or medical advice. Age, price and popularity alone are poor ways to choose a product.

A course may be recommended, with progress reviewed before further treatment. Ask about session spacing, when to judge the outcome, any maintenance and the total cost rather than just the first appointment. There is no guarantee that a higher concentration or more treatments will produce a better result.
Temporary injection bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur. These procedures also carry risks such as infection, allergic reactions or persistent lumps, with rare but potentially serious vascular complications. Your medical history, medicines and previous procedures should be reviewed, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies and active infection.

If you are deciding between Profhilo, Seventy Hyal or TKN HA 3, book a consultation and let your skin determine the treatment rather than the other way around.
